Oh sChucks!

I used to be the sneakers kind of girl when I was younger and I actually still am.
I wasn't the girly girl kind and It was just until recently that my love for shoes evolved to not just rubber shoes and sneakers.

White Converse All Star Light (Low Cut)
I've been searching for the perfect white sneakers for the longest time, so the first time I saw this style in the stores sometime last year, It was love at first sight. I had this in my Christmas 2009 wish list but I ended up buying it for myself :p

Yellow Converse All Star Chuck Taylor (High Cut)
For the "emo-chick" in me.
I believe everyone has a pair of Chucks but I don't see a lot of yellow :)

My Shoe Storage

I'm sitting on my bean bag when I noticed the building of shoe boxes outside my bedroom door, so I decided to take its picture (using my phone camera since I don't have a digicam anymore :c )
The transparent plastic box makes it obviously easier to see what's inside. Hence, easier to get what pair will go with your outfit.

At my left is an antique dresser. Underneath it is this

I don't have enough transparent boxes to store my shoes. Plus my boots couldn't fit in it.

While my beau and I waited for the screening time of our second movie for the day, we decided to go to the Cybermall thinking that the gadgets were there (My bf is kind of a gadget freak as I am a "shoe freak"). To my bf's dismay, there were only a couple of lousy gadget stores in that mall. There was, however, a big Shoebox store :)
I think, Shoebox originally started with a small stall in Greenhills. Now they have stores in Eastwood Cybermall, Glorietta and even Rockwell.

Another comfy flats for me. Yey.

Green flats from Shoebox Eastwood Cybermall.
P699.00 only

I originally wanted the pair in "magnet candy" pink and off-white colors but they don't have them in my size anymore.  Buying reasonably-priced shoes doesn't make you feel guilty when you buy more than 1 pair in 1 day.

I'm in Eastwood Mall right now for our "Movie Marathon Saturday".  While waiting for my date, I wandered around the bazaar at the activity center where I saw the stall of Shoeology. They have nice oxford type of shoes - with unique and nice colors.  The shoes are made of soft leather (i think that's what you call it) and velvet-y material for the inside of the shoes making it super comfortable.
I always tell Dan not to make me wait, especially when I'm in temptation Island :p  I believe it's a good buy though.

I bought the red pair in the picture :)
P749 only from SHOEOLOGY

Cockroach Shoes

Wearing this pair yesterday, it made me question why i even bought it in the first place :p.  I find the gold thing on top weird. It kinda looks like the icing on cupcakes.

I took the photos using my iphone. I have yet to get those camera apps that my friends are telling me.
My beau said that if my shoes were brown, they would look like a couple of cockroaches. LOL

What kind of a shoe are you?

I saw this ad in Eastwood Mall's fan page in Facebook
How about you, what kind are you?

Knight and Day

Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz star in the action-comedy movie, Knight and Day which I was able to see in advance last June 21 at Trinoma. Fun movie for both the guys and the girls.  I still swooned over Tom Cruise, Cameron still has her charm.  Both have chemistry together.

I give this movie 3.5 shoes (out of 5)

Knight and Day premiered last June 16 in Spain. Here are some of the pictures.
I love Cameron's black pumps with ankle strap and gold chain :)
I'm not sure if I dig Mrs. Tom Cruise's shoes.
Her legs look big.

Knight and Day's theme song was launched sometime last month.

Silver Toes

Silver Ballet Flats

My shoes got fucked up :(
It's actually still repairable. No need to go to the shoe doctor, a little rugby will do.

I bet most of you never wondered what's "inside" your shoes.
In this case, some sort of cardboard. Now I know why it's cheap :D

My First Charles & Keith Pair

This pair wins for being the most worn out pair I have.
I thought it was the 2 other flat shoes I previously posted
If i remember it correctly, this is my very first Charles & Keith pair.
A gift from my beau.

Yet another blurry picture of me.
I think I'll stop posting vanity shots unless pictures are really nice

My Online SHOePPING List

Online shops have become very popular lately. I even own one myself. Check out G Online Shop. - I'm currently inactive since a lot has been selling the same stuff already. I'm thinking of putting up a new line

I always see a lot of nice shoes for sale online but I can't buy em unless I try them on. The size of my feet is inconsistent - I'm usually a size 5 but not all size 5 fit me.

Here are some of the shoes I've been eyeing by
rising young local designers/online sellers

from Sinta
I already bought a different pair from the brand and I love it.

from the Hepburn Collection of POP TART - i don't know the official online shop of this brand. I just saw this picture tagged to one of my friends in Facebook.
Prices: Php1,995 * Php995 * Php995 (accordingly)

Carmelletes only has an online catalogue available. They don't sell online yet. Check out the site for their branches.
Prices: Php995 * Php645 (accordingly)

Suelas is actually known to be both comfortable and flexible. You can fold it and roll it - can easily be kept in your bag for change of shoes emergency situations

Sunday Brunch

I usually sleep in on Sunday mornings but I had to get up today for a family lunch at The Fort.
Still a little hungover from my brother's birthday party last night, I slipped in the first dress I saw.
After lunch, we did a little family window shopping before going home.

at Charles & Keith Bonifacio High Street - no i didn't buy anything :) I'm trying to save up for my August trip. I plan to splurge in Hong Kong.

The salesperson asked me where I bought this, apparently they don't have this style here yet. Booyah!:P

I bought this at Charles & Keith in Vivo City Mall, Singapore just last month.
It was our last day and hours before our flight back I was feeling frustrated that I still haven't bought myself a nice pair of shoes to bring home. Since the brand is homegrown and is practically in every mall there (it's also a couple of hundreds cheaper compared from the price here in the Philippines) I decided to buy the first pair that catches my eye. Luckily size 5 fitted.

Birthday Shoes Part 3

My niece, Felicia, will be turning 11 years old on Monday. My beau promised her a pair of personalized hand-painted sneakers like what I gave my cousin/god daughter, Fraulein.

Off to the Mall to buy the little princess' shoes

Converse All Star Specialty CT X-Hi Sneakers in white (w/ pink plaid print)
Converse All Star Low Cut Sneaker in Black (w/ purple lace)

She wants the black low cut sneakers painted with a Pacman design.
I was suggesting for stars and rainbows but I guess it seems too kiddie for her.
Haha! I'm baduy like that :p

Happy little girl. She got 2 pairs.
Happy Birthday! :)

Yesterday & Today

Two of my favorite pairs. I can wear them everyday with any attire.
These two pairs are the most worn out pairs aside from my Chucks. These are usually the shoes I bring on trips.

Round Toe Flat Shoes
Left: B&W Zebra Print from Cole Vintage
Right: Apple Green Velvet-Smooth-Like-Material from Mario D'Boro

Yesterday Morning & This Morning

5,500 years ago

Oldest shoe was found in in the mountains of Armenia (somewhere in Southern Europe)
It is said to be a piece of leather with its front and back laced up
"found in a cave along with other evidence of human occupation. The shoe had been stuffed with grass, which dated to the same time as the leather of the shoe — between 5,637 and 5,387 years ago." - yahoo news (june10,2010)

I'm just glad I live in the 21st century, where shoes already evolved with designs and styles.

On my way home after a days work and a movie.
Press screening of The A-Team in Makati

SCHU of the night (get it? :p)
White Round Toe Pumps

Jessica Biel, as Lt Sosa in the A-Team.
Wearing her stiletto pumps while on field duty, chasing bad guys - That's HOT!!
Made me wonder if high ranking military women in the states really wear heels on duty :p

Aside from Face (Bradley Cooper) being the pretty boy, he also wears nice shoes.
I just noticed in the poster above that he's wearing nice "pogi" leather shoes while Hannibal (Liam Neeson), BA (Rampage Jackson) and Murdock (Sharlto Copley) wear those hardcore manly boots.
I rate this movie 4.5 shoes (out of 5 shoes)

Catch The A-Team in cinemas starting June 10

Laid Back Sunday

One of my favorite slippers because of the colors.
A gift form a very good friend. You know who you are :p

Bead thong strap
Yellow part is velvet like material - it gets dirty easily but you can just wash it with soap and water and it's good as new.
I know, I know, it's time to have it washed.

Thanks to my 11yr old niece for this shot. Much better than shots by her yaya :p

Parisian Sandals

I got to check out SM Department Store last night while waiting for my boyfriend.
Parisian, SM Department Store's house brand for ladies shoes, recently launched their new collection during the Philippine Fashion Week (June'10). The shoes from the collection are perfect for the fashionistas. However prices for the pairs are around Php1,200 which may seem too pricey for the brand. Usually, the price of Parisian ranges from Php300-Php800 only. The quality and style makes up for the additional pesos though. The other pairs seems to be photogenic but doesn't really look nice in actual.

For some reason, size 5 of the new designs are big for my feet :(
Shoe shopping never fails to disappoint me. I always find it hard to find a pair that fits.
I bought this pair for only Php 499.75

I look fat! (or is it just me? :p)
